Beata has a lovely south facing garden which had recently been turfed and paved. She was new to gardening but keen to learn and turn the garden into a space that her family could enjoy. Scented plants were a must and bulbs for the spring. I filled the borders with tulips, daffodils and alliums which flower in succession and help to take us into the summer. Being a south facing garden I choose deeper shades of pink and purples so they stand out in the sunlight. An array of plants were chosen, David Austin roses, geraniums, cistus, clematis and grasses amongst others. For the border which had the late afternoon sun I chose plants which take on the lovely red autumnal glow, miscanthus, amelanchier lamarckii and ceratostigma complimented by scented roses and flowering borders.
