Initial consultation
We discuss your ideas for the garden and what you would like. You may only want a section of the garden redesigned, I can work to meet I can work to whatever your needs are. Is there any particular style you like such as Cottage garden, contemporary with formal planting, do you have an area that naturally lends itself to being a Woodland area or do you need it to be low maintenance? Further detail about plants and colour are also discussed, which colours do you like, do you want to include scented plants? what do you definitely not like!
Site survey
The next step is for me to measure your garden, record changes in levels and take photographs. Soil analysis is carried out noting the aspect and how the garden is affected by surrounding trees and houses. Following this a brief and quote are drawn up.
Design
I present you with a Planting plan drawn to scale with all plants labelled and represented by circles. The Planting plan takes into account eventual spread and height. Plants are chosen for seasonal interest throughout the year.
You get a 2D elevation which helps you to visualise the garden.
Mood boards are also presented with a selection of the plants.
The garden is cleared in preparation for planting, a layer of mulch and plant feed is laid to ensure the plants have the best start. I source plants from various nurseries and arrange delivery ready to plant up.
Maintenance schedules are also available, listing all plants divided by month showing when to prune, divide and mulch. If you would like continuous maintenance for the garden I also provide this service.
